COVID-19: NCDC confirms 582 new cases, Lagos records 175 and 11 deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 582 new cases and 11 deaths recorded in Nigeria for the 1st of September 2021.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 582 new cases and 11 deaths recorded in Nigeria for the 1st of September 2021.

Till date, 193013 cases have been confirmed, 179000 cases have been discharged and 2480 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 582 new cases are reported from 16 states- Lagos (175), Rivers (124), Edo (60), Delta (57), Akwa Ibom (44), Anambra (25), Bayelsa (22), Gombe (19), Ekiti (12), FCT (12), Kaduna (11), Kano (6), Benue (5), Plateau (5), Ogun (3), and Jigawa (2)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
