Oba Lawal, who was accompanied by his wife, Olori Mariam Lawal, also paid a visit to the Nigerian High Commission in Cairo, Egypt.
Speaking on the essence of the visit, the monarch said: “I would like to appreciate the Pope and the entire Coptic Church for their hospitality and for the great conversations we had about the possibility of partnerships in the near future.
“I also appreciate the Nigerian High Commission for receiving me, even as I look forward to mutually beneficial partnerships for the benefit of Iru Land, in the near foreseeable future,” he said.
