With the passionate commitment of Mr. Governor @jidesanwoolu to expand options of transportation modes for the emerging smart city – Lagos; LAGFERRY commuted its 100,000th passenger at 9:11am on Monday – September 7, 2020 at Ipakodo Terminal, Ikorodu.

The LAGFERRY’s 100,000th passenger – Mr. Muritala Balogun boarded MF EJIRIN to Ebute-Ero in Lagos Island and earned the prize of TEN (10) FREE BOAT TRIPS on LAGFERRY’s Fleet on any of the 9 routes currently covered by the Agency’s operations.

The Managing Director of LAGFERRY – Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun reiterated the agency’s drive to provide world class water transportation, offering safe, fast and reliable services with improved technologies and excellent customer experiences on the inland waterways of Lagos for both passengers’ trips and efficient cargo solutions for Corporate Lagos.

He emphasized that the geometric growth of Lagos population at over 22millon asserted enormous pressures on the road transportation option with over 1.6million daily commuters; whereas the abundance of natural water bodies covering one-third of State’s landmass presented us with vast opportunities to explore the ocean economies including, of course, water transportation.

The intermodal transport means will further deepen commercial activities and serves as catalyst to promote tourism in Lagos State.
