The Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has celebrated the 80th birthday of his father, political mentor and elder statesman, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, MFR, describing him as an embodiment of exemplary leadership, selfless service and unwavering commitment to humanity.
In a birthday message, the Ojodu LCDA Chairman congratulated the respected elder and Member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), while expressing gratitude to God for his remarkable life and enduring contributions to society.
He described Cardinal Odunmbaku as “an icon of impeccable virtues and a leader of immaculate qualities,” whose life has continued to inspire generations through his commitment to philanthropy, Christianity, community development and public service.
According to him, Cardinal Odunmbaku has served as a father figure and political mentor to many, earning admiration through his exemplary leadership, wisdom and consistent efforts to add value to humanity and society.
The Chairman further eulogised the celebrant as a man of great eminence and benevolence, whose life has demonstrated the importance of sacrifice, perseverance, integrity and service as essential ingredients for building a life of substance and a peaceful, prosperous society.
“Today, we celebrate a father, leader, mentor and great patriot whose remarkable journey continues to inspire us. His contributions to humanity, the Christian faith and the political landscape remain worthy of commendation and emulation,” he said.
On behalf of the leadership, management and staff of Ojodu LCDA, the Chairman wished Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku many more years of sound health, divine grace, peace, fulfilment and enduring joy.
