Police Post Inspection: CP commends Aruwe’s impactful projects, pledges enhanced security in Mushin

The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, on Saturday hosted the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, during an inspection visit to the newly constructed Police Post at Idi-Araba, Mushin, which is nearing completion.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Aruwe reiterated that the safety and security of residents remain a top priority of his administration, stressing that peaceful coexistence is essential for businesses, schools, and families to thrive within the community.

According to the Chairman, leadership must remain close to the people it serves in order to build confidence and assure residents that their concerns are being addressed effectively.

He assured the Commissioner of Police that the Police Post would be completed promptly and fully equipped to enable officers discharge their duties efficiently. He also urged community leaders, residents, and stakeholders to remain vigilant and support ongoing security efforts across Mushin.

In his remarks, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, commended Hon. Aruwe for his remarkable performance and impactful grassroots interventions geared towards improving the welfare of residents and driving developmental growth in Mushin Local Government.

The Police Commissioner particularly applauded the council’s commitment to strengthening security architecture and supporting community-based policing initiatives within the area.

CP Tijani further pledged continued collaboration and robust security support to ensure the protection of lives and property in Mushin, emphasizing that criminals would have no hiding place within the community and Lagos State at large.

“With your cooperation, we can make Mushin even safer for everyone who lives and works here through sustained collaboration for the peace and progress of our communities,” the Commissioner stated.

Also speaking during the inspection, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Abisola Muhammad-Yusuf, expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force in Mushin for their unwavering efforts in strengthening security and maintaining law and order within the community.
