Family, friends, and well-wishers converged in grand style on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Gabriel Orororo Multipurpose Hall, Ikotun, Lagos, to celebrate the 60th birthday of Mr. Oluwole Ogunlolu in a colourful event marked by pomp and pageantry.

The milestone celebration drew an impressive lineup of dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, alongside three former council chairmen—Hon. Wahab Owokoniran, Hon. Wale Odunlami, and Hon. Mojeed Balogun. Members of the council’s executive and management teams were also in attendance, underscoring Ogunlolu’s strong ties within the local government system.
The event sparkled further with the presence of renowned filmmaker Tunde Kelani and Nollywood veterans Alhaji Kareem Adepoju (Baba Wande) and Fausat Balogun (Madam Shaje), among other notable guests from across sectors.
Born on April 29, 1966, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Ogunlolu began his academic journey at Baptist Primary and Secondary Schools in Ilaro before proceeding to Lagos State University, where he studied Law. He dedicated over three decades of service to the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission (1984–2018) before venturing into private enterprise.
A seasoned administrator and cooperative leader, Ogunlolu served the Lagos Local Government Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd (Eko-Akete Mainland) in various capacities, rising to become President between 2009 and 2013. His tenure was marked by significant reforms and growth, including the development of thriving estates.
Beyond public service, he is a passionate promoter of Yoruba culture and traditions, serving as convener of the Centre for the Redemption of the Yoruba Civilisation, Arts and Tradition. His interests span broadcasting, construction, real estate, and the creative arts, including a role in the acclaimed film Àyìnlá, produced by Tunde Kelani.
