Residents of Ikeja are set to witness a landmark empowerment initiative as part of activities marking the 74th birthday of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on March 29, 2026.
In celebration of the occasion, the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, will roll out a large-scale empowerment programme targeted at improving livelihoods across the constituency.
The initiative, scheduled to hold on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Police College, Ikeja, is expected to benefit over 1,000 constituents through the distribution of various tools, equipment, and vehicles aimed at boosting economic activities at the grassroots.
Items to be distributed include hundreds of vehicles of different types, 350 deep freezers, 250 industrial sewing machines, 250 generators, as well as hundreds of 18-seater buses and mini-buses. Other empowerment materials such as fishing bowls, fingerlings and feed, mechanic tools, and popcorn machines will also be provided to beneficiaries.
Speaking on the initiative, Rt. Hon. Faleke reaffirmed his commitment to service, noting that the programme reflects his continuous effort to empower constituents and support sustainable economic growth within Ikeja.
The empowerment drive underscores the Renewed Hope agenda in action, bringing tangible benefits directly to the people and reinforcing grassroots development.
