From E-Registration to Congresses, Lagos APC Sets Benchmark for Party Organisation
The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has said its recent electronic membership registration and party congresses underscore the party’s commitment to internal democracy, discipline and strong institutional structures.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Lagos APC spokesman, Seye Oladejo, said the successful completion of the exercises further demonstrated the party’s capacity for organisation, innovation and cohesion.
According to him, the electronic membership registration exercise recorded widespread participation across the state, while the congresses held at ward and local government levels were conducted peacefully and in compliance with the party’s constitutional guidelines.
Oladejo noted that the orderly conduct of the processes reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparency and internal democratic practice, describing the outcome as a reflection of a united political platform prepared for future electoral contests.
He added that the composition of the newly elected state executive of the party represents a strategic balance of experience and youthful dynamism, alongside deliberate efforts at gender inclusion.
“The new leadership reflects a blend of institutional memory and fresh energy, a combination that will not only sustain the progress recorded by the party but also accelerate its growth,” he said.
The party spokesman also urged opposition parties to strengthen their internal structures and organisational discipline, stressing that politics thrives on coordination, leadership and unity of purpose rather than division and rhetoric.
Oladejo maintained that the APC’s continued dominance in Lagos is rooted in its culture of organisation, cohesion and commitment to progressive governance.
He further said the successful conclusion of the registration and congress processes reinforces the confidence Lagos residents have consistently placed in the party as a credible platform for leadership and development.
According to him, the party remains focused on consolidating its achievements while preparing for future political engagements in the state.
“The APC in Lagos remains disciplined, cohesive and ready for the challenges ahead,” the statement added.
