APC Lagos Chairman Commiserates with Family of Yesiru Karamo
The re-elected Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cornelius Ojelabi, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, commiserated with the family of the party’s Assistant Publicity Secretary, Hon. Yesiru Karamo, who passed away on March 4, 2026.
Speaking during a brief meeting with members of the State Executive Committee, Ojelabi described the death of Karamo as a painful loss to the party, noting that death is an inevitable part of life that everyone will face someday.
He called on members of the State Executive Committee, political associates, and constituents of the late Karamo to remain strong and find the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The APC chairman also announced that the swearing-in ceremony earlier scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, has been postponed to Friday, March 6, 2026, at the same venue.
Ojelabi urged all State Executive members to remain resolute and steadfast in the discharge of their responsibilities despite the sad development.
The meeting concluded with special prayers offered in both the Christian and Muslim traditions for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
