The Lagos State chapter of the Presidential Coalition Council on Monday organised a special interfaith prayer session in Ikeja, bringing together Christian and Muslim clerics to pray for Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
The prayer session, held at the Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, was aimed at promoting national unity and spiritual resilience as the country moves towards the 2027 general elections and as the All Progressives Congress (APC) continues its ongoing membership e-registration exercise in Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, members of the Council emphasised the importance of prayer in building a peaceful, prosperous, and united Nigeria. They expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda would have a positive and far-reaching impact on the nation, driving inclusive development and strengthening key sectors of the economy.
Special prayers were offered for President Tinubu’s leadership as well as for Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, who was commended for his steadfast dedication to public service and commitment to the welfare of the people. Participants prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and guidance for both leaders.
The Council noted that the prayer gathering formed part of its broader strategy to mobilise members and supporters ahead of the ongoing APC registration exercise and the 2027 general elections. It said the initiative was designed to foster solidarity, encourage civic participation, and deepen engagement among party members and the wider public.
Several political leaders and stakeholders were in attendance, including Alhaji Rabiu Oluwa, Chief Abiodun Ogunleye, Alhaji Bushira Alebiosu, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Chief Oyinlomo Danmole, Alhaji Mutiu Are, Hon. Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Chief Moshood Salvador, Hon. Tajudeen Agoro, Otunba Henry Ajomale, Hon. Ayinde Enilolobo, members of the House of Representatives, council chairmen, and community leaders from across the state.
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to a united and progressive Nigeria, anchored on the principles of integrity, accountability, and selfless service to the people.
