Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely known as K1 De Ultimate, has filed a lawsuit against the Ogun State Government, the Awujale Interregnum Administrative Council, and the Chairman of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.
The legal action marks a new chapter in the ongoing succession dispute, moving the conflict from traditional deliberations and administrative channels to the courts. By seeking judicial intervention, K1 aims to secure legal clarity in a matter that sits at the crossroads of custom, governance, and law.
The case now places the judiciary at the heart of a sensitive traditional institution, whose authority is rooted in history, lineage, and communal consensus, yet increasingly influenced by modern legal frameworks.
As the proceedings unfold, public focus will not only be on the claims and counterclaims presented in court but also on what this dispute reveals about the evolving dynamics between traditional authority and state power in Ogun State.
