Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday hosted members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) in Lagos for a strategic meeting focused on national security, economic reforms and the welfare of citizens.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the governors held “focused discussions on security, the economy and the well-being of our people,” noting that the meeting reinforced their collective commitment to national stability and development.

He said the governors unanimously reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s security architecture.
“Keeping our citizens safe remains our first duty, and we’re committed to improving community-based security and better coordination across all levels of government,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

The forum also reviewed the economic challenges facing Nigerians amid ongoing national reforms. Sanwo-Olu acknowledged the strain on households and commended citizens for their patience and resilience.
According to him, the governors agreed to intensify support for food production, strengthen small businesses, expand youth employment initiatives and provide targeted relief for vulnerable families.
The meeting ended with a renewed pledge to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Our focus is to keep improving lives and building a safer, stronger and more inclusive Nigeria,” the governor added.
