Fidelity Bank Boosts Quality Education in Mushin with Donation to Eko Boys Junior High School

Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to education and community development with the donation of school bags and other learning materials to students of Eko Boys Junior High School, Mushin, Lagos.

The intervention, executed under the Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP)—the bank’s staff-driven Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative—empowers employees to identify pressing community needs and implement sustainable solutions with support from the bank.

Speaking at the event, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, described education as a critical catalyst for national development.

At Fidelity Bank, our responsibility goes beyond financial services; it includes investing in the well-being of the communities we serve. Through the FHHP, we aim to create real social impact. Supporting these young students today helps give the next generation the confidence and tools they need to succeed,” he said.

The donation, facilitated by Team Eminence Inductees, Class of 2025, was warmly welcomed by the school’s management.

Principal of the school, Mr. Falola Gabriel, expressed deep appreciation to the bank, noting the importance of private-sector partnership in improving the learning environment.

> “We sincerely thank Fidelity Bank for this generous gesture. While the school bags will greatly assist our students, we appeal for additional support in areas such as computers, fans, and classroom furniture to further enhance teaching and learning,” he said.

Vice Principal, Mrs. Kasunmu Mercy, noted that the donation would ease the financial burden on parents and help students stay better organized.

Student beneficiaries, including Ojomo David, also expressed excitement and gratitude, describing the gesture as a demonstration of Fidelity Bank’s genuine concern for their welfare.
