In celebration of his first 100 days in office, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has launched the Onigbongbo Empowerment Committee, a strategic initiative aimed at driving inclusive growth, strengthening community development, and ensuring the dividends of democracy reach every resident across the council.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at the Council Secretariat, Hon. Adebanjo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance through his FINE AGENDA, a people-centered roadmap aimed at rebuilding hope, empowering citizens, and fostering sustainable community growth.
“Our goal is simple — to ensure that support and empowerment reach the lowest person in Onigbongbo, irrespective of political affiliation,” the chairman stated.

The newly constituted committee is chaired by Hon. Onifitila Sulyman, who pledged transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the execution of the committee’s mandate. He assured the council chairman that the team would work tirelessly to meet the expectations of the administration and the people.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Tunde Obanubi, Vice Chairman of the Committee, described the initiative as unprecedented in the LCDA’s history.
“No chairman has ever thought of or implemented something like this. While some may not be pleased, the majority who will benefit will continue to pray for you. We will use our political maturity to ensure this mission succeeds,” he said.

Other members of the committee, including Hon. Chinedu Ogbena, Mrs. Josephine Inegbe, Hon. Tunde Adenugba, and Mr. Michael Olosho, commended the council chairman for his visionary leadership and foresight. They described the empowerment project as a timely and people-oriented intervention that would impact the lives of many residents, particularly the most vulnerable.

Also speaking, Mr. Taofik Isiaka (Apashe) offered prayers for the chairman and expressed gratitude for being included in the committee, pledging to contribute his quota to the success of the program.
In his remarks, the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Shamsideen Oloyede, charged committee members to remain focused, avoid politicizing the empowerment process, and ensure that every intervention reflects fairness and equity.
Similarly, the Chief of Staff to the Council Chairman, Hon. Seun Abiodun, lauded Hon. Adebanjo’s visionary leadership, assuring that the committee would justify the confidence reposed in them.
The inauguration of the Empowerment Committee underscores Hon. Adebanjo’s commitment to people-driven governance and marks a major milestone in his administration’s first 100 days in office.
