The All Progressives Congress, APC Ikeja Local Government Chapter has inaugurated its Local Organizing Committee for the campaign of Chairmanship Candidate Hon Akeem Dauda and Vice Chairmanship Candidate Hon Abisola Omisore, along with the six councillorship candidates, on Saturday, 31st May, 2025, under the leadership of APC Ikeja Chairman, Mayegun Dally Adeokun.
The LOC is responsible for galvanizing support for all APC candidates in the July 12 elections in Lagos State.
Hon. Akeem Dauda, the party’s Chairmanship candidate, acknowledged everyone’s presence and stressed the importance of collective effort and teamwork.
He stated that all hands must be on deck to achieve outstanding success.
The party Chairman, Mayegun Dally Adeokun, commended the meeting between the party’s candidate and other aspirants on Wednesday, May 30, 2025, stating it was a positive step.
He advised that the campaign should reflect the 2027 election, with a focus on voters rather than campaign materials.
He also emphasized the need for reconciliation to ensure every vote counts in the party’s favor. He appreciated the LOC members and stated that the committee will be expanded, congratulating all team members while introducing the principal members of the LOC.
The Director-General of the LOC, Mr. Tunde Britto, noted in his address that the endeavor requires a unified effort and encouraged all committee members to dedicate their best efforts to ensuring a triumphant outcome for all APC candidates.
The committee’s inaugural task was to develop a program schedule and create a detailed itinerary detailing the events’ progression. The campaign will commence in Ward C Onilekere and conclude in the ward of the Chairmanship candidate, Ward D.
