Lagos gives important update on closure of popular Rail Crossing

The Lagos State Government has announced a new date for the closure of the PWD Rail Crossing Initially scheduled for May 1, 2025 the closure will now take effect on Wednesday, May 14, 2025

The Lagos State Government has announced a new date for the closure of the PWD Rail Crossing Initially scheduled for May 1, 2025 the closure will now take effect on Wednesday, May 14, 2025

This is contained in a statement issued by Mrs. Bolanle Ogunlola, Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Lagos Ministry of Transportation on Sunday.

According to the Lagos government, the postponement aimed to give motorists more time to plan their routes and adjust their schedules accordingly.

It noted that the alternative routes earlier announced remain unchange “This adjustment is intended to allow motorists adequate time to prepare and plan their movement ahead of the closure,” said the government.
