APC instructs removal of Councils aspirants banners, billboards, violators to face disqualification

The Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has issued a directive to all LGA chairmen in the 57 Local Governments and LCDAs to ensure the removal of all campaign materials, including posters, banners, billboards, of all aspirants for Chairmanship and Councilorship within their domain, effective immediately.

The Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has issued a directive to all LGA chairmen in the 57 Local Governments and LCDAs to ensure the removal of all campaign materials, including posters, banners, billboards, of all aspirants for Chairmanship and Councilorship within their domain, effective immediately.

According to a memo sighted by Lagos Panorama, Pastor Ojelabi has warned that any additional attempts to disregard electoral laws concerning the upcoming Local Government elections will incur stiffer penalties, potentially including outright disqualification.

“We can not afford to let the opposition leverage on technicalities to snatch an underserved victory due to our aspirants lack of discretion and discipline” the State Chairman asserted.

I hereby direct all the APC 20 LGA 37 LCDA party chairmen in Lagos State to carry out the removal of all posters, banners, billboards and other campaign materials of all aspirants- CHAIRMANSHIP AND COUNCILORSHIP – in their domain with IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

Any further attempt to run foul of the electoral laws as regards the conduct of the forth-coming Local Government elections will meet with stiffer PENALTIES which may include outright disqualification.

We can not afford to let the opposition leverage on technicalities to snatch an underserved victory due to our aspirants lack of discretion and discipline.
