President Bola Tinubu has appointed Sunday Dare, former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, as Special Adviser on Public Communications and Orientation, with immediate effect.

The Presidency announced this appointment on Wednesday, stating that Dare will be based at the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

This appointment is part of eight strategic actions approved by President Tinubu to optimize administrative efficiency and deliver on his promises to Nigerians.

Dare, from Ogbomoso, Oyo State, served in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Born on May 29, 1966, Dare graduated in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University and earned a Master’s degree in International Law from the University of Jos.

Dare played a pivotal role in the establishment of The News and Tempo magazines.
