Inter Milan have qualified for Champions League final after defeating city rival AC Milan by a lone goal in the second leg of their semi-final match.

Inter thus qualified for the final on 3-0 aggregate. They will face the winner between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the final in Istanbul, Turkey.

Inter last won the Champions League in 2010 under Coach Jose Mourinho.

After a boring first half in today’s encounter, the homers scored the only goal of the match on 74 minutes. Romelu Lukaku, who came in as a substitute fed Lautaro Martinez inside the box, who was unmarked and buried the ball in the bottom left corner.

Earlier on 11 minutes, Brahim Diaz received a precise pass in the box and took the shot early. The ball headed towards the bottom right corner, but Andre Onana showed off his skills and made a brilliant save to deny him.

On 38 minutes, Rafael Leao amazingly found his way through the defence, but lacked a precise finish as his effort from close range went slightly wide of the right post.

A minute later, Edin Dzeko found himself some space around the penalty spot and leapt high to meet the free kick. He tried to put his header into the middle of the goal, but Mike Maignan kept it out.

On 78 minutes, Martinez produced a ferocious strike from the edge of the box. His dangerous effort towards the roof of the net was blocked by Mike Maignan, who pulled off a superb save to keep the ball out of the net.
