The Directorate of former Sole Administrators and Executive Secretaries of Lagos State Local Government Councils and LCDAs have commenced mobilization and canvassing of the grassroots in support of the All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the reelection of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all the APC Candidates for the forthcoming general elections
This was revealed by the Director of the Directorate under the Independent Campaign Council Hon John Oshijo in a press conference on Thursday at the Council’s Secretariat, GRA Ikeja Lagos.
Oshijo in his address said the former Executive Secretaries and Sole Administrators have good understanding of their respective local government councils and have commenced mobilization towards the realization of electoral victories for all the APC Candidates in the 25th February and 11th March general elections starting with the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
He alluded that Asiwaju’s performance as two-term former governor of Lagos State especially the creation of the 37 LCDAs that have catalyzed sustainable development at the grassroots, and the recent achievements of Gov Sanwo-Olu would make their job easy as it would be the basis of their campaign and canvassing of the electorates
The former helmsman of Bariga urged members of the Directorate to go to all the nooks and crannies of their local government and communities and mobilize prospective voters for all the APC Candidates.
He also used the occasion to express his gratitude to the Director General of the Independent Campaign Council, ICC, Mr. Tayo Ayinde and the National President, the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Kolade Alabi for their belief and support for the Directorate.
