2027: Lagos Baales Forum Unveils Power Team to Drive Tinubu, Hamzat Campaign

LAGOS, NIGERIA — The Lagos State Baales Forum has strengthened its leadership structure with the appointment of key political figures to its Advisory Council, Board of Trustees (BOT), and Directorate as part of preparations for the 2027 General Elections.

The Convener of the forum, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, announced the appointments of Hon. Razaq Olushola Ajala, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, and Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, describing the move as a major step toward institutionalizing the forum and enhancing grassroots political mobilization across Lagos State.

According to Bamigbade, the newly constituted leadership will work in close collaboration with Alhaji Mutiu Are, Secretary of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), who serves as Chairman of the Lagos State Baales Forum Advisory Council.

Key Appointments

Hon. Razaq Olushola Ajala – Co-Chairman, Advisory Council. He is the immediate past Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA and a frontline campaign director for Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa – Member, Board of Trustees (BOT). He is the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Conference 57.

Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem – Principal Director. She is the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment.

Addressing journalists in Lagos, Bamigbade said the appointments are aimed at strengthening the forum’s organizational structure and expanding its grassroots influence across the state.

He noted that the forum remains committed to building a credible platform that will mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Lagos State APC governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 polls.

Also speaking, Chief Abu Jelili Ododo, Baale of Ijedodo, Oba-elect of Ijeododo, and Chairman of the Lagos State Baales Forum, said the newly appointed leaders would deepen the forum’s political structures while supporting initiatives targeted at vulnerable Nigerians.

The appointments, he added, underscore the forum’s resolve to consolidate its role as a strategic grassroots mobilization platform in support of the APC’s electoral objectives in Lagos State and beyond.
