2027 GENERAL ELECTION: INEC Announces Online Recruitment of Ad-Hoc Staff
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the activation of its online portal for the recruitment and engagement of ad-hoc personnel for the 2027 General Election.
According to a public notice issued by the Commission, the INEC Portal for the Recruitment of Election Staff (INECPRES) will be activated from 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, and remain open until midnight on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
The exercise is open to interested and qualified applicants who wish to serve as ad-hoc election personnel during the 2027 General Election.
INEC stated that applications can be submitted online through its official website, with options available for both mobile and web applications.
For applicants using laptops or desktop computers, the web version of the portal can be accessed at:

Applicants using Android mobile devices can access the mobile application through:
inecnigeria.org/pres.apk
The Commission advised interested applicants to take note of the application window and ensure that their applications are submitted within the stipulated period.
The online recruitment exercise is part of INEC’s preparations for the successful conduct of the 2027 General Election.
