Member of the Progressive Governors Forum on Thursday endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the sole candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC for the 2027 presidential election.

The governors who declared their endorsement at the APC National Summit held in Abuja also vowed to work for the re-election of Tinubu in 2007.

The endorsement followed a motion moved by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Chairman of the forum.

The motion was seconded by Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State.

Uzodimma, who spoke on behalf of the forum, emphasized commitment to mobilising resources and ensuring victory for Tinubu in their respective states.

Uzodimma said members of the Progressive Governors Forum are satisfied with the midterm review and performance evaluation result of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We acknowledge the resolution of these governors that Mr President carries our flag in 2027 and the governors take responsibility for delivering this mandate in their states,” Uzodimma said.

The governors expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and reforms, promising to deliver their states in the upcoming elections.

This endorsement follows similar moves by other APC regional leaders, including the North Central governors who recently passed a vote of confidence in Tinubu’s administration, praising his developmental strides and inclusive governance approach.
