2023 Press Week: Oloja to Chair Lagos NUJ Public Lecture

Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian, Martins Oloja, will, on Wednesday, August 23, chair the public lecture of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council to mark its 2023 Press Week.

Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian, Martins Oloja, will, on Wednesday, August 23, chair the public lecture of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council to mark its 2023 Press Week.

Themed “Post-Election Nigeria: Paths To National Restoration And Peace,” the presentation would be delivered by the Dean, School of Communication Studies, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Sunday Alawode. It will be followed by a panel of discussion.

A statement by chairman of the council, Adeleye Ajayi, said the week-long programme would begin with a health walk today from Ikeja Under Bridge to NUJ Secretariat in Alausa.

It added that a gala/awards nite would be held on Friday, August 25, at Combo Hall, LTV Compound, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi-Ikeja. Ajayi disclosed that distinguished Nigerians and corporate organisations to be honoured at the event include Senator Adetokunbo Abiru (Lagos East Senatorial District); James Abiodun Faleke (Ikeja Federal Constituency); Adewale Temitope Adedeji (Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I, Lagos State House of Assembly); Airtel Nigeria and Nigerian Breweries Plc. He urged chapel chairmen and secretaries, along with their members, to turn up en masse for the occasion.
