Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Balarabe Abdullahi, says that the All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man to watch for the seat of Nigeria’s President come 2023.

The speaker stated this during the Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju (NDA) visit to members of the House in Lafia. He said that APC stakeholders in the state will meet and take a common position and support aspirants to consolidate President Buhari’s achievements.

Abdullahi said that Sen. Tinubu had contributed a lot to the development of Lagos State and the country at large. “Tinubu is a household name in the country. He is a leader par excellence, and his track record is clear.

“He had demonstrated leadership as he had done very well when he was the governor of Lagos State devoid of any sentiment. He has grown many people in politics and other aspects of life both locally and nationally. In APC, he has paid his dues and made sacrifices for democracy. It is my prayers that Nigerians at the appropriate time will stand for Asiwaju,” the speaker said.

Abdullahi said they would consult with APC leaders in the state to know their views on the 2023 presidency.

“We have leaders in the state that we have so much respect for them, we will consult them and collectively, we shall come up with a common position on 2023 presidency,” he added.

The speaker also commended President Muhammadu Buhari over his developmental strides in the country.

Meanwhile, the NDA National Coordinator, Omogbolahan Babawale, said the visit was to drum support for Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President come 2023.

“Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has national appeal. He appointed Hausa, Igbo, among other tribes, into his cabinet when he was the governor of Lagos State.

“Tinubu is a detribalized Nigerian as he has contributed so much to the success of APC and Nigeria at large. Mr Speaker, I will love you to pray and support Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the country’s president come 2023. It is in the interest of economic prosperity and its overall development. He is a  progressive leader who has the interest of the masses at heart. Sir, your activities will continue to speak for you,” he added.
