The top ranking Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke got a resounding victory at the primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to represent theIkeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives after he polled all the 47 valid votes casted by the delegates at the Oluwaleyinmu Sports Center, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria on Friday.
A total of fifty delegates were expected at the Electoral College, but two absentees and one invalid vote were recorded.
The third term lawmaker contested with three other contestants which include the immediate past Chairman of Ojodu LCDA Hon Julius Oloro, Hon Mutiu Okunola and Otunba Wale Okesola.
Rt. Faleke in his appreciation remark expressed his gratitude to God Almighty for life and grace for the achievement.
He thanked the National Leader of the APC and Presidential hopeful Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the platform for him and other progressives to serve the people.
The High Chief AKorede-Atunluse of Ikeja-Land further appreciated other leaders of the party in Ikeja Federal Constituency, members and delegates for the trust and believe in his representation.
He alluded that “I thank all the leadership, members and delegate of our great party for reposing their trust and support for my aspiration to serve them again and I pray that God Almighty to continue to bestow me with more grace and sound health”.
The recipient of the Lagos Panorama Most Distinguished Sustainable Legislator Award averred that “as an experience lawmaker, it afford me to see opportunities for our people and I continue to strive for more for the betterment of the people” he affirmed.
The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde in a joyous mood while speaking with Lagos Panorama said “all the party leaders and members look round and search for the right person to represent us, Ikeja Federal Constituency and we all concluded that Hon Faleke should continue the good job, because of his unprecedented achievements in the last three terms”.
Buffalo as he is fondly called by close associate, prayed for the victory of the party’s candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Mr. Tarie led the Independent Electoral Commissioner (INEC) Monitoring team to the event.
Also among the entourage of the House of Rep member were Cardinal James Odunmbaku, Mr. Tayo Orekoya and a host of the others.
