Today, I distributed food items, cash of a Million Naira and wheel chairs to people living with disabilities as part of palliative measures to cushion the effects of subsidy removal on vulnerable people at the council secretariat, Oke-Ira Ogba.
Ojodu LCDA had earlier distributed palliatives to widows and other vulnerable residents while providing free public transportation and subsidized foodstuff to cushion the effects of subsidy removal on the people.
The initiative was borne out of our administration’s policy of social inclusivity and welfarism that aims to give People Living With Disabilities a sense of belonging, that all segments of society are special and equally important.
