Sanwo-Olu Marks Tinubu’s 74th Birthday with 20,000 Food Packs, Message to Lagosians

The initiative, which took place at the Blue Roof Event Centre in Agidingbi and other locations across the state, reached thousands of beneficiaries in all 20 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas. Food items were also shared at key religious centres, including the Chapel of Christ the Light and the Central Mosque in Alausa.May be an image of one or more people and text

Top government officials, including the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, and the Special Adviser on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Tajudeen Afolabi, attended the event alongside community leaders, youth groups, and other stakeholders.

In an open letter read to residents, Governor Sanwo-Olu described President Tinubu as an “extraordinary leader,” urging Lagosians to remain steadfast and optimistic despite recent economic challenges. He noted that the country is beginning to see signs of progress and encouraged continued support for the administration’s reform agenda.

The Governor also highlighted President Tinubu’s enduring legacy in Lagos, crediting his leadership between 1999 and 2007 for laying the foundation of the state’s economic growth and institutional strength.

Officials at the event described the outreach as both a celebration and a welfare intervention designed to ensure inclusiveness, allowing Lagosians from all walks of life to participate in honouring the President.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely support amid current economic realities, while offering prayers for the President’s continued health, wisdom, and leadership.
