Defection Quagmire: Another incisive interview with Constitutional Lawyer and Public Affairs Analyst, Barr Liborous Oshoma, analyzed the constitutionality of the sacking of the Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, his Deputy, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe, and seventeen lawmakers of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly following their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

The Public Affairs Analyst elucidated on the Justice Inyang Ekwo’s ruling, with an insight to the implications, challenges and proffered solution to the Judicial lacuna, as some political commentators have quick to referenced past defectors like Gov Aminu Tambuwal, Gov Godwin Obaseki and a host of other both in the executive and legislature weren’t reprimanded for jumping ship.

Meanwhile, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State and the deputy governor, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, have obtained an interim order from a state high court that would last for seven days.

Troops Arrest Chiwetalu Agu While Soliciting Support For Proscribed IPOB

Troops of Nigerian Army(NA) have arrested one Chiwetalu Agu while inciting members of the public and soliciting for support for the proscribed Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Dressed in a very well known attire of the proscribed group, Chiwetalu Agu was picked up for questioning while inciting members of the public to join the proscribed group. Though he attempted puting up some resistance when troops made effort to take him into custody, he was not assaulted or subjected to brutalization.
