FAAC shares ₦1.578 trillion among FG, States, LGs in March 2025

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed ₦1.578 trillion to the Federal, State, and Local Governments, representing the March 2025 allocation.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed ₦1.578 trillion to the Federal, State, and Local Governments, representing the March 2025 allocation.

The Federal Government’s share was ₦528.696bn, while states and LGs received ₦530.448bn and ₦387.002bn, respectively. Oil-producing states also received ₦132.611bn as 13% derivation.

The allocation consists of revenues from statutory sources, VAT, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and exchange differences.

As per the FAAC communiqué, VAT revenue stood at N637.618bn, with gross statutory revenue reaching N1.718tn. Contributions from EMTL and exchange difference amounted to N26.011bn and ₦28.711bn, respedeclined

Notable increases were recorded in Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) and Companies Income Tax (CIT), whereas VAT, EMTL, and customs duties declined.
