IKEJA GAMES 2022/2023 coming to an end, as Ward C confronts Ward F in football final – ED Barr Ajala

The Ikeja Games that started about a month ago will be coming to a close on Sunday with the football event final and a gala night to celebrate all the over 600 athletes and other participants of the Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke’s sponsored event.

The Executive Director of the Ikeja Games which was partnered with the National Institue for Sports, Barr Olawale Ajala in a release on Friday, said “The finals of the football competition is scheduled to hold on Sunday 5th February 2023 at the police college football field, GRA, Ikeja from 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm with the third place and final matches respectively.

Thereafter, the gala night/grand finale of all the ten (10) games will come up same day (Sunday 5/02/23) at the Anchor event center, 1 Registration close, Agidingbi road, beside FIRS, Ikeja Lagos starting from 5.00 pm till 9.00 pm.

“All athletes and participants are invited to the gala night as they will all get their medals and reward on that day.”
“Thanks and God bless as you all grace the occasion” Ajala concluded.

Meanwhile, Ward F Team from Ogba-Oluwole qualified for the final of the football event after defeating the Ward I GRA Police Barracks team 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 fulltime with the suspended semifinal completed on Thursday afternoon.

The final match will be between Ward C v Ward F, while the third-place contest will be between Ward E v Ward I
