It was a roll call of the who’s who of the Progressives Family in the Ikeja Federal Constituency as they all turned out in numbers to bid farewell to the pioneer Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Council, Mayor Alani Saheed Okikioposu who passed on at the age of 69 years, last Friday 9th December 2022.
The former council boss popularly known as ‘The Algebra’ by his political associates for his political acumen, 8th-Day Fidau-Prayer held at the Event Centre, Hakeem Balogun Street, Agidigbin, Ikeja, Lagos had in attendance the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde including notable party chieftains, GAC Member, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, Chief Funso Ologunde, Chairman APC Ikeja and Chair of 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State, Mayeigun Dally Adeokun and other APC LGA Chairmen of Ojodu and Onigbongbo LCDAs, Hon Sola Kokumo and Alhaja Iyabode Akerele respectively and all other LGA Executives across the Ikeja Federal Executives.
The Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government, Engr. Mojeed Balogun led his entire Executive members, the Ikeja Legislative Council and other officials to the event.
Other notable leaders at the event were the former Managing Director of the United Nations Assist Project in Lagos State, Engr. Kehinde Akinola, Hon Debo Olasoji, Hon Mustapha Anishere, Hon Seyi Lawal and a host of others.
Meanwhile, the Leader of the Ikeja Legislative Council, Hon Ayotunde Adenuga, in a statement he signed and received by Lagos Panorama, the grassroots lawmakers will hold a Special Plenary Session in honour of the late first Chairman of the Council, Mayor Saheed Alani Okikioposu
The event is scheduled for Tuesday 20th December 2022 at the Ikeja Local Government Legislative Chamber by 11am.
