Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Mrs. Titilaoye Ponnle, the former Osun State deputy governor to Rauf Aregbesola, and a socio-political group across the 36 states of Nigeria are strategising for the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
The group, Tinubu Hope Initiative (THI) which held its national convention in Osogbo, capital of Osun State on Sunday had in attendance leaders of the group across the country.
Ponnle, speaking at the event, said, “Among the candidates who have shown interest in the number one job in the land, it is only Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who has shown courage in the past and in the present to have the courage to face the challenges facing Nigeria without looking back.
“It is for this reason we would like to charge all and sundry to be ready to support his vision to transform and reset our country.”
Ponnle was represented by Coordinating Director of Ministry of Commerce, Osun State, Mrs Ajibola Falode.
Earlier, Director-General of the group, Olamide Adaramola disclosed that its membership strength is 100,000.
He said Nigerians are not willing to vote Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) into any level of government because they are considered as the country’s nightmare.
According to him, “PDP can not win 2023 election because the party is a nightmare to Nigerians considering the way they governed the country. Nigerians have suffered from the party. Going for PDP, majority of Nigerians know that they will go back to the era of looting, corruption and bad infrastructure.”
Also, the state lawmaker representing Olorunda constituency, Moshood Akande appealed to party members to be ambassadors of Asiwaju.
