…Ex-DG of Lagos Sports Commission Clinches APC Ticket For Ikorodu Constituency 1

The former Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar Bolowotan has won the primary election conducted on Friday by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to decide the flagbearer of the party for general election into the Ikorodu Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Bolowotan defeated Hon Sinai Agunbiade, the incumbent lawmaker representing the Constituency and the current Majority Leader of the House of Assembly.

Agunbiade is serving his fourth term in the House which ends next year, and had joined the race to represent the Constituency for the fifth term before he was defeated by Bolowotan.

Bolowotan polled 38 votes out of the total 55 votes cast. Another aspirant popularly known as Oga polled 16 votes, while Agunbiade got 1 vote.
