Olabinjo defeats incumbent to emerge APC Candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency

A former Special Adviser during the administration of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in Lagos State, Hon Benjamin Olabinjo has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency.

A former Special Adviser during the administration of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in Lagos State, Hon Benjamin Olabinjo has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency.

Olabinjo, who also served as the Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the State, defeated the incumbent lawmaker representing the Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon James Owolabi, popularly known as Omo Iya Elewedu.

The primary election was conducted at NRC Building, Old Akute Road, Bola Tinubu Way, Iju Station, today.

Olabinjo polled 32 votes to defeat Owolabi who polled 2 votes at the election that was conducted peacefully.

Olabinjo has pledged quality representation for the people at the Green Chambers if elected at the general election, while also promising to deploy his extensive experience in politics and governance to fast track development of the Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency.
