On the 22nd of December 2021, 4035 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 231413 cases have been confirmed, 211853 cases have been discharged and 2991 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 4035 new cases are reported from 15 States – Lagas (3,393), Rivers (260), Edo (62), Akwa Ibom (42), Kaduna (39), Ekiti (38), Oyo (38), Delta (31), Kano (31), Ogun (30), Abia (26), Bauchi (15), Ondo (14), Enugu (9) and Kwara (7)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
