UCL: ‘One-man band’ – Aluko hits out at Man Utd after Atalanta draw

Former Chelsea star, Eni Aluko, has hit out at Manchester United following their 2-2 draw with Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Aluko branded Man United as a ‘one-man band’ team, adding that Cristiano Ronaldo keeps bailing them out.

Ronaldo’s brace ensured Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side played a draw against Atalanta in Italy.

The Portuguese captain rescued a point for Man United with an exquisite 92nd-minute volley after Duvan Zapata put Atalanta 2-1 up midway through the second half.

“Chelsea have played with new players, Romelu Lukaku is out, Timo Werner is out, but you look at United, and it is like it is a one-man band,” Aluko said on BT Sport.

“What else can Manchester United do to get the results? Cristiano Ronaldo can’t keep bailing them out.

“Defensively, they have come up against a striker in Zapata that ran them ragged. Is Manchester United’s backline good enough?

“It looks like they can get torn apart by a good striker.”

The result against Atalanta means Man United are on top of Group F with 7 points after four games.
