Hundreds benefit from Faleke’s free medical outreach

Hundreds of citizens have started benefitting from the free Medical outreach organized by Federal lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable James Abiodun Faleke.

The 4-day free medical outreach for General Health check and care which is slated to hold in Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) began on Monday 16th of August in Oluwole, Ogba Area of Lagos State.

Community leaders and residents, both old and young trooped out enmass to enjoy absolutely free medical care sponsored by Hon Faleke in conjunction with the Nigerian Institute of Oceanography and Marine Research.

Some of the free services received by beneficiaries who registered for the programme included Electrocardiogram (ECG), cervical cancer test, typhoid and malaria test and treatments, Diabetics screening, eye tests and treatment, free eye screening, dental checkup and treatment, hypetatis screening as well as HIV/AIDS screening.

According to their needs, some beneficiaries also went home with gifts ranging from free drugs, recommended glasses and mouth wash packs while nearly everyone at the event went home with sophisticated slippers.

Expressing appreciation to Rt Hon. Faleke, the Community Development Council (CDC) Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Elder Femi Abiona noted that it was the first time any lawmaker was extending such benevolence to the people of his community.

Elder Abiona however stated that Rt. Hon. Faleke was already known and respected for bringing such kind gestures to the people adding that the medical outreach further confirms that the MHR is a man always concerned about the well being of the people.

Earlier before the programme began, Rt. Hon. Faleke himself had stated that the free medical outreach was a way 9f facilitating quality health care awareness and treatments for the people.

The Federal Lawmaker said: “Primary Health care should be given Enough Attention in order to Reduce preventable sickness and Death Rate. We will continue to Facilitate Quality Health care Awareness and Treatments.

The free dedical outreach for General Health and Eye Check continues in Ojodu LCDA today Tuesday 17th of August at Powerline community, Oke Ira from 10am; and will be held in other areas of the LCDA on Wednesday and Thursday.

The medical outreach is totally free.
