Viral Lagos amputee water hawker, Mary Daniel, on Saturday announced the construction of her water factory, which would be named after her.

Viral Lagos amputee water hawker, Mary Daniel, on Saturday announced the construction of her water factory, which would be named after her.

Recall that, she used to sell bottled water on highways in the Oshodi area of Lagos. Her story changed in March 2021, after a picture of her hawking sachet water in traffics was taken and posted on the internet.

She also dedicated a new house in the Igando area of Lagos State on Saturday, which she bought the house for N17.5m from the N25m donation she received her story went viral on the internet.

The sachet water factory is being constructed in the same compound of the newly acquired house.

Daniel has purchased the engine and filters for sachet water production for her factory.

According to her in an interview with the PUNCH Online video team, the completion of the sachet water factory is almost ready, except for equipment like water tank, flooring, electrical work, and roofing.

Recall that, when her story came out, she accused by some some people who claimed her story was concocted, she came out to apologize for spinning a fantastic tale out of her life story.
