Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved 30% of basic salary as end of the year bonus for all public servants including state civil servants, political appointees, employees of Local Government Areas, Local Council Development Areas, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Neighborhood Safety Corps.
In a statement by the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the bonus will be paid along with December 2020 salary as a nontaxable element.
Muri-Okunola said the bonus was in fulfilment of the present administration’s commitment to the welfare of its workforce and in continuous benevolence to appreciate the contributions of all state public servants to the accomplishment of all set goals and vision.
The Head of Service urged public servants to reciprocate the kind gesture of government with more commitment and diligence in qualitative service delivery towards fulfilling the laudable programmes of the present administration which would sustain the enviable status of Lagos as the Centre of Excellence.
