All is set for the 12th edition of the prestigious Nigerian Media Nite-Out Award.The event which is said to be held at Lagos Airport Hotel event center, On 23rd September , 2018. Theme :Role of Media in Ensuring Credible Elections and Maintenance of Good Governance. The event is gradually gathering momentum and attracting rave attention from the socio-economic aspects of the country.

The all-embracing media practitioners event which debuted twelve years ago to recognise excellence and achievements by media practitioners (print, electronic/social media) is the brainchild of Solkem Entertainment. Nigerian Media Nite-Out Award which specifically celebrates media excellence in Nigeria was conceived with a view to carrying media practitioners along as an appreciation of their hitherto unrecognized contribution to the development and emancipation of the Nigerian nation. Now in its 12th year of successive outings, this edition promises to be a grander outing than the previous ones and nominations and nominees are already rolling in.

Dignitaries from all walks of life, captains of industries, politicians, top government functionaries, socialites and media groups are, as usual, expected to grace the ever glamorous event. According to the chairman, organizing committee, it is yet another opportunity for media practitioners to come under one umbrella to celebrate their own colleagues in an atmosphere of conviviality and jollity where entertainment and intellectual bantering will be at their best.

Ogun set to reopen churches, mosques from August 14

The Ogun State Government on Wednesday said it is set to reopen worship centres from Friday, August 14.

Gov. Dapo Abiodun, who made this known while briefing journalists in Abeokuta, however, said the religious centres must strictly follow COVID-19 measures and guidelines.

He warned that any worship centre that fails to follow all the guidelines would be sanctioned appropriately, saying even the holy books stipulates obedience to constituted authorities.

Some of the measures put in place include mandatorily wearing of face masks, sitting two meters apart, provision of hand washing facilities and worship duration of not more than one and half hours.

Others are; ablution must be done from home and worshipers must take their personal praying mats, adequate provision of running water and sanitizing of the premises before and after each service, among others.
