Tinubu backs laws scrapping pensions for ex-govs, deputies

The National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has commended Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the move to repeal the law awarding pensions to former governors of the state and their deputies.

Tinubu, in a statement yesterday, described the decision as a bold and courageous move, stating that he wholeheartedly supports him.

He said: “I would like to commend the governor for the plan to commence the repeal of the law giving pension packages to former governors and their deputies. This is a bold and courageous move by the governor and I wholeheartedly support him.”
