Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases near 60,000 as NCDC confirms 151 new cases

Nigeria’s confirmed cases of coronavirus reached 59,992 on Friday night following 151 fresh infections, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said in an update.

Lagos recorded 71 of the 151 cases, followed by Ogun with 26, and Kaduna with 17.

The rest are: “Osun – 10, Oyo – 8, FCT – 6, Rivers – 6, Plateau – 5, Akwa Ibom – 1, Ekiti-1”

The total confirmed cases so far in Nigeria now stands at 59,992 of which 51,614 have been discharged.

However, the infection has claimed 1,113 lives.
