The House of Representatives on Tuesday commenced its 2027 Annual Open Week, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and increased public Faleke Reaffirms Commitment to Transparency as House of Representatives Opens 2027 Open Week in the nation’s legislative process.

Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, said the initiative serves as a vital platform for strengthening citizens’ engagement with the legislature while showcasing the work of the House.

The opening ceremony featured goodwill messages from former Speakers of the House of Representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the European Union, and several prominent Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), who applauded the achievements and milestones recorded by the 10th National Assembly.

Reflecting on the third successful edition of the Open Week, Faleke reiterated the House’s resolve to deepen democratic governance through greater public participation and the advancement of people-centred bills and motions aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.

He stressed that the House remains focused on enacting impactful legislation that promotes national development and strengthens Nigeria’s democratic institutions.

Faleke concluded by offering prayers for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
