The Tinubu Ambo Support Group, a coalition of political groups aligned with former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on his endorsement as the preferred governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election.
In a statement issued by its Director-General, Dr. Seyi Bamgbade, the group described the endorsement as a reflection of Hamzat’s dedication, leadership, and contributions to the development of Lagos State.
The group noted that Hamzat’s track record in public service has continued to inspire confidence among party leaders, stakeholders, and residents of the state.
Reaffirming its loyalty to the APC, the Tinubu Ambo Support Group pledged full support for the party’s decision, emphasizing its commitment to unity, progress, and electoral victory. It also declared its readiness to actively participate in mobilisation and campaign activities to secure Hamzat’s emergence as governor.
The group further reiterated its support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that it would work collaboratively to ensure success at both the state and national levels.
Describing Hamzat as a leader of intellect, humility, and proven capacity, the group expressed confidence that his candidacy would strengthen governance and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of Lagos State.
