Providus Bank Plc has strengthened its national presence with the commissioning of a new branch in Ado-Ekiti, signaling a continued push into key growth markets across Nigeria.

The expansion follows the bank’s early compliance with the recapitalisation requirements set by the Central Bank of Nigeria in January 2025, positioning it to scale operations and deepen financial inclusion.

Speaking at the launch, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Deoye Ojuroye, said the move aligns with a strategic plan to broaden the bank’s footprint nationwide within the next year.

He noted that the bank’s growth strategy is focused on entering high-impact markets, supporting real sector activities, and delivering responsive financial services.

Ojuroye also reaffirmed the bank’s strong capital base and disciplined risk management approach, describing Providus Bank as well-positioned within its regulatory category to sustain expansion while supporting businesses and communities.

The bank disclosed plans to roll out additional branches in strategic locations over the next 12 months, underscoring its commitment to accessibility, scale, and long-term value creation.

With this latest development, Providus Bank continues to reinforce its standing as a dependable financial partner, driven by stability and a focus on sustainable growth.
