Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has stepped up its environmental sanitation drive with the evacuation of accumulated waste from Babs Fafunwa Millennium Secondary School.
The clean-up operation, carried out by the council’s environmental team, is part of sustained efforts to ensure a safe, hygienic, and conducive learning environment for students and staff across public schools within the LCDA.
Speaking on the exercise, the Supervisor for the Environment, Hon. Lekan Peters, said the intervention became necessary due to the growing volume of refuse within the school premises, which posed potential health and environmental hazards.
He noted that the prompt evacuation has restored cleanliness in the school environment and underscores the council’s commitment to protecting public health, particularly within educational institutions.
