A political advocacy group, Tinubu/Ambode Patriots, has reaffirmed its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the return of Mr Akinwunmi Ambode as Governor of Lagos State, describing them as the most viable options to drive sustained development at both national and state levels.
The group’s Coordinator, Dare Dada, made this known during a strategic meeting held in Ikeja.
Dada emphasized that President Tinubu’s leadership at the national level, coupled with Ambode’s proven performance during his tenure as Lagos governor, positions them as dependable leaders capable of accelerating growth and stability.
He noted that the group has intensified efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures across the state in preparation for the next election cycle.
“We are convinced that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in Nigeria’s best interest. His administration has taken bold steps to reposition the economy and governance framework for long-term growth,” Dada stated.
He added that Lagos State requires a tested hand like Ambode to sustain and build on existing developmental strides.
“Lagos needs an experienced administrator at this critical time. Former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has demonstrated capacity, and his return will further accelerate development in the state,” he said.
Dada stressed that the state cannot afford inexperienced leadership, noting that continuity and competence remain crucial to maintaining progress under the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government.
Reflecting on Ambode’s previous tenure between 2015 and 2019, Dada said many residents still acknowledge the former governor’s contributions, particularly in infrastructure development, security enhancement, and urban renewal.
“Across Lagos, people continue to speak about Ambode’s achievements. His administration delivered visible transformation, and there is a growing demand for his return,” he noted.
He further revealed that stakeholders within the APC are being urged to consider the Epe-born politician as a strong candidate in future elections.
Dada concluded by calling on the group’s coordinators at senatorial, local government, and ward levels to intensify mobilisation efforts.
“Our structure must return to the grassroots. We must engage communities, market leaders, youths, and other stakeholders to promote this vision of continuity and progress,” he said.
He reiterated that the Tinubu-Ambode combination represents a strategic pathway to sustained development for both Nigeria and Lagos State.
