The management staff of the State Resilience Office (LASRO), on Friday, paid a congratulatory visit to the Palace of Ogboni Iduntafa of Lagos, Chief (Arc) Gbolahan Omogbolahan Oki, former Head of the Agency and pioneer indigenous Lagos State Chief Resilience Officer, on the occasion of his installation into office.

The Ogboni Iduntafa of Lagos stands as a revered traditional institution, embodying spiritual authority, communal guardianship, and ancestral continuity within the state. Rooted deeply in Yoruba culture, the fraternity reflects values of leadership, benevolent service, and reverence for the earth, known as Ilè or Oduduwa.

The Ogboni Iduntafa Palace, recently rebuilt, serves as a centre of cultural significance, traditional authority, and community identity. It’s a symbol of respect for tradition, unity, and continuity within the community.

During the visit, the newly installed Ogboni Iduntafa warmly received his former colleagues, exchanging pleasantries and reminiscing on cherished memories shared during his tenure at LASRO. The Palace’s Spiritualist offered prayers for the staff and members of LASRO, invoking blessings for their continued success and well-being.

In a heartfelt gesture, Ogboni Iduntafa himself prayed for all staff, the leadership of LASRO, and Dr. Folayinka Dania, the current Chief Resilience Officer, asking for the fulfillment of their good desires and aspirations. He further admonished LASRO to remain steadfast in its mission, emphasising that the agency’s ongoing work is already shaping a brighter and more resilient future for Lagos State.

The visit underscored the enduring bond between Chief Oki and LASRO, reflecting the Agency’s commitment to honouring its leaders and celebrating milestones that strengthen the collective vision for resilience and sustainable development in Lagos.
