APC Chairman Ojelabi Urges Unity, Support for Government in New Year Message

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Chapter, Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi, has called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Lagos State and party members, to embrace unity, patriotism, and renewed commitment to national development as the country enters the year 2026.

In his New Year message titled “Welcome, 2026,” Ojelabi extended warm greetings to Lagos residents, party faithful, and leaders across the state, expressing optimism that the new year would usher in peace, prosperity, and renewed hope for the people.

Reflecting on the passing of 2025, the APC chairman said the end of the year marked a fresh beginning, noting that the challenges of the previous year had given way to new opportunities. He expressed gratitude to God for ushering the nation into a new chapter and prayed that 2026 would bring improved fortunes and fulfillment of aspirations for all citizens.

Ojelabi urged Nigerians to deepen their commitment to building a stronger and better country, stressing that collective responsibility and dedication were essential to achieving a prosperous and united Nigeria. He expressed confidence that national renewal was attainable through shared wisdom, cooperation, and sacrifice.

He commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Lagos State, describing their stewardship as critical to the realization of the APC’s vision for growth and development. According to him, the party remains committed to supporting policies that promote peace, security, and economic prosperity across the country.

Reaffirming the APC’s role as a responsible governing party, Ojelabi pledged continued support for initiatives aimed at unlocking Lagos State’s and Nigeria’s productive capacity. He called on citizens to rally behind the current administration, which he said has demonstrated capacity and commitment to laying a solid foundation for national growth.

The APC chairman also appealed for collective action against threats to national progress, including insecurity, economic sabotage, corruption, and tax evasion. He encouraged citizens to set aside partisan differences and cooperate with government efforts to confront both visible and hidden challenges, urging vigilance and civic responsibility.

Ojelabi concluded by praying that 2026 would mark the beginning of an era defined by unity, progress, and divine favour, while wishing Nigerians a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
